Week 84 - Finding flow

"What have you been doing for the last 45 minutes? I've been calling you the whole time!"

Sitting with a friend recently for dinner, we got to talking about Csikszentmihalyi and his idea of flow. While we grappled with our interpretations for a bit, I think we both agreed that the flow state often comes from having a complete focus on a task, without any conscious external thoughts. In addition, it was suggested that flow is typically experienced when you are immersed in something challenging and you have a feeling that time is behaving in a funny way.

Question(s): What makes time stand still for you? What makes time speed up?

Action: If you're not sure where to find your flow, sign up for an art class. I did!
